Fires at Wanganui.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Wanganui, last night. Two fires occurred here, one at 9.30 last evening and the other one this morning. The first was discovered in a shop in some rubbish under tho counter, and was extinguished in an incipient stage. The stock was insured for £IOO and the shop for .£l5O. The other fire was in a private residence, the family narrowly escaping losing all their furniture, which was insured for £2OO, and the house for a like amount.
