London, Aug. 28. Affidavits having been made as regards the treacherous shooting of Australian soldiers, Lord Kitchener has issued a proclamation announcing drastic measures will be taken for dealing with the offenders.

Lord Kitchener has forwarded to Steyn and Botha sworn evidence taken before General Elliot, showing that Lieutenant Mair, of the New South Wales Artillery, and Privates Harvey and Blunt were shot down on June 6th last, after surrendering, at Graspan, near Reitz, when Elliot engaged Do Wet.
