Sydney, Aug. 26. The Sydney Morning Herald, commenting on M. Etiennes' suggestion with regard to ,the New Hebrides, states that self-denial is to bo shown by Great Britain, not Franco, is evident from the further remarks about New Caledonia. Fortunately, Australia can now speak with force as a federated nation, and there can ho no doubt what answer the suggestion to surrender the New Hebrides would call forth.
