Lamb, prime Canterbury, 4jjd ; fair average, including Dunedin, Southland, Wellington, and secondary Canterbury, 4,]d. River Plate, crossbred or merino wethers, heavy 215-16 d, light 2jjd. New Zealand beef, 180 to 2201 b, fair average quality, ox fores, 2),d ; ox hinds, 3]d. At tho weekly sales of rabbit skins there was a large supply. The better sorts soid at lato rates. Common skins declined a halfpenny to 2d per pound. Now Zealand hemp is firm. Good Wellington August shipment is at JE2S 10s ; October shipments, F 25. Wheat—The Enterpes cargo sold at 28s 6d.

The Agent-General in his weekly cablegram to tho Agricultural Department, dated the 17th, says there is a better tone in the mutton market this week. Th’6 average price to-day is : Canterbury, 31di Dunedin and Southland, 3&d ; North Island, 3{d. Lamb is irregular, under 361 b realisng 4d to sfd; over 441 b, 3jd to 4]cl.
