Co-operative Dairying.
(To the Editor of the Times.) Sir, —Mr McGregor’s washy reply to Mr Lysnar’s letter is supremely funny. Ho shies clear of many important points, and puts glittering figures before his suppliers, which favor private factories. He is simply throwing dust in the farmers' eyes ; but fortunately his customers have a little common sense and know how much twice two are. I sincerely hope that now as the movement has begun that before long we shall see co-operation in full swing this season. Why should not Mr McGregor try and put the damper on such a movement ? The best thing he can do is to secure all the farmers he can by giving advances, etc., for purchasing extra stock.—l am, etc., Ego.
