WELLINGTON NEWS.
A JURY DISAGREE.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. At the Supreme Court, the jury, after deliberating till a late hour, failed to agreo in the case against Alfred Hornby, charged with breaking and entering. ALLEGED OUTRAGE. A young man was arrested to-night on a charge of attempted rape on a young woman in ffarori road. The offence is alleged to liavo been accompanied by extreme violence, tho victim being now under tho caro of the doctor, having boon brutally beaten.
