KAITI EOAD BOARD. IT is hereby notified that it is the intention of the above-named Board, at a meeting to be held on FRIDAY, August 10th, 1901, to Strike a General Rate of Three Farthings in the £, in terms of Section 37 of “The Rating Act, 1894,” and Section 114 of “The Road Boards Act, 1S82”; the said rate to bo on the capital value of all rateable property within the said .Road Board District, for the period of one year, from the Ist April, 1901, to the 31st March, 1902, and to be due and payable in one sum on August 31st, 1901, at the Office of the Board, Lowe street, Gisborne. And in respect of Native lands one-half of the above rate. IT IS ALSO NOTIFIED that the following Special Rates, to provide interest on Loans under “ The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1880,” will be payable for the same period for the respective districts as defined in “Special Orders” striking Special Rates, viz.: — On Loan of £1343 17s lOd over the original Kaiti Road Districs, as defined in the New Zealand Gazette of September 29th, 1887, page 1248—Five thirty-seconds of One Penny in the £. On Loan of £2054 0s 8d over the same special rating area—Seven thirty-seconds of One Penny in the £. Total of Special Rates as above—Threeeighths of One Penny in the £.
