PARKYN BROMLEY COMPANY.
A good deal of interest is attached to the performance to be given in the Academy of Music this evening by Messrs Parkyn and Bromley, the English society entertainers. whose- refined and attractive entertainments have received high culogiums from the English and Colonial press. Mr ‘William P. Parkyn, the Cornish Entertainer, is referred to as a very versatile comedian, an actor with a consummate facility for mimicry. In his popular unique sketches, rustic- dialect, songs, etc., he is sure to please his audience, whilst Mr Bromley is a very fine tenor, and an accomplished piauiste. Of the entertainment the Auckland Sporting Eeview, says : —Mr W. B. Parkyn contributed a’ most diverse programme of recitations, sketches, and songs. His excellent conception of the many characters portrayed, stamps him as one of the finest artistes we have seen this side of the line. Mr Bromley has an exquisitely clear and well-trained voice, free from any suggestion of nasal tone. He is a eomple master of the art of accompanying.”
