CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER.
THE GOVERNMENT ENGINEER ACQUITTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Dunedin, last night. The hearing of the charge of manslaughter against Robinson, engineer in charge, arising out of the fatality at the Government lime kilns, was concluded today. Evidence was given by Messrs R. Hay and Hursthouso, engineers, that under similar circumstances they would not have timbered the ground. The Magistrate dismissed the charge.
