Fire on Steamer.
A LARGE CARGO OF SUGAR, By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Adelaide, July 27. A fire occurred on the steamer Balmoral, lying at the wharf, with 5000 tons of Java sugar aboard. The fire broke out in the hold amidships, where 1000 tons of sugar is stowed, some 250 tons of which has been destroyed, while probably a large quantity in the lower hold is damaged by water. The flames and the boiling sugar, which spread in all directions, seriously damaged tho captain’s cabin, the saloon, store-rooms, and fittings,
