Trawling Industry.

Tue trawler Miranda owned by Mr AAI AViig, of tho Spit, loft Napier for Gisborne on Friday night at 9, arriving at Gisborne at 5 p.m., on Saturday, having experienced a very rough trip. Tho Miranda was brought up by Captain AViig, and is to bo taken charge of by Air Friar, Mr AViig returning to Napier at the end of this week. The vessel is to he engaged in tho trawling industry about Poverty Bay. Sho is comparatively new boat, a well built handy craft, drawing about 6ft., and having been built at tho Bluff by Mr Harrison. Operations in tho trawling lino will be commenced as soon as the weather is favorable, probably in a day or two. The object is to supply the Gisborne market with fish, and an endeavor will be made to keep up a regular supply of both fresh and smoked fish. Mr Friar is an export fish-curer from AVcliington.
