FROZEN MEAT INDUSTRY.

The annual report of the New Zealand Refrigerating Company states that at Burnside and Oamaru 57,759 carcases of mutton, and 115,805 lambs have been put through, The company have also slaughtered and frozen 8782 head of cattle, whilst 58,269 crates of rabbits were frozen and put through for export. A complete plant for utilising the offal and tallow has been erected. The balance of profits is
