Satisfactory arrangements in regard to the wages, hours, etc., of the City Council tram-drivers have been come to between tho Corporation and the Drivers’ Union, without the intervention of the Arbitration Court. The minimum weekly wage is to be £2 ss, with overtime. The number of hours is fixed at 52 per week. Auckland, last night. The Auckland cabmen have registered their union, and will have a meeting with employers. They desire reduced hours. A gentleman has offered to fit- up a room for the men.
