RECORD REIGN TO BE SHIPPED TO INDIA.
NOT TO RUN IN GRAND NATIONAL.

The New Zealand champion hurdler Record Reign, will be shipped to India about the middle of August. The new owner states that the horse will not run in the Grand National Hurdle Race at Caulfield, but ho will probably compete in some flat races at the forthcoming meeting.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Woodville, last night. The Woodville Jockey Club has bought the property on which the racecourse stands from Messrs Harding Brothers. The Club has disposed of the protest re Famous, which has been before it for twelve months. The mare won the Borough Handicap, and was objected to on the ground that she was wholly or partly leased by Mr P. Herman, and the partnership was not duly registered. The mare was disqualified by the Feilding and Wanganui Clubs on the same grounds. The protest was dismissed on the ground that thero was no evideace to show that Herman had an interest in the animal tiii May, 1900.
