LIBERAL COUNCIL.

DECLARE FOR VIGOROUS PROSECUTION OF WAR. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, July 24. The Committee of tho Imperial Liberal Council resolved in favor of the vigorous prosecution of tho war. A general amnesty of rebels was declared to be impossible until the termination of hostilities. The charges of barbarity against the British were declared to be unfounded, the pro-Boer demonstration to be an act directly prolonging the war; that the attempt to identify the Liberal party with the pro-Boer cause is dishonest, and that the Committee and tho resolutions adopted represent tho majority and the opinion of the majority of the Liberal party.
