The troopship Tagus brought 10 OJII- - ami 255 men i t the Fourth Contingent, 10 oliicers and 07d men of the Fifth Contingent, (» invalids, -1 details, and 12 men belonging to corps not connected with the colony. The invalids arc : Farrier Wilson, of the Second ; Trooper Me Kinder, of the Sixth: Sergeant Smith and Troopers Wooller and Martin, of the Sixth. The details are: W. Hutchison and Corporal Humphries, of the Seventh; I nontenant I guidon, of t lie Second; Sergeant Fraser, of the Second. There are ‘AS men in the hospital. The majority are suffering from pneumonia. There arc 10 convalescents. KI even of the cases in the hospital are somewhat serious. The forty-four cases of invalided and in the hospital will he landed at Port Chalmers. After ail arrangements had been made for the military funeral of Gunner [Fvnan, of ilokiauga, a request came from the friends of deceased to have the bode sent on, and this will he done accordingly, a leaden collin having boon ordered. The townspeople arc busy to-iiiy;lit decorating for the reception of the contin--I'i'uts to-morrow. Tile weather is lair, but the snow lies so deep in the hill districts that many country residents will not yet to town. The hotels are full to overilowing. but the billeting for the troopers being complete, the committee have been able' to lii 11 1 some accommodation for visitors.
