TO MEET THE TROOPERS AT INVERCARGILL. [By Telegraph—Tress Association]. Wellington, last night. The Governor lias postponed his visit to Auckland for the purpose of christening the new Government steamer for the Cook Island trade. His Excellency will go to Invercargill early in the ensuing week for the purpose of meeting the troopship Tagus on arrival, and presenting medals to "’the Fourth and Fifth Contingents. Afterwards His Excellency will go to Auckland perform the christening ceremony.
