The Labor Party Convention has drawn up a programme, which includes one man one vote, white Queensland, conciliation and compulsory arbitration, old age pensions, State ownerships, State construction and maintenance of railways, land and income tax, State control of the liquor traffic, cessation of State-aided immigration. Melbourne, July 5. ThG Senate has decided that the rota of retiring Senators be based on their position at the polls at the recent election. According to a return supplied the Federal House, the Australian cable business last year produced a revenue of j£588,000.
