By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, July 4. The Government withdraws the duty on canned and bottled apricots and pulp, except where containing added sugar. The decision is retrospective to April 19th, aud duties paid will be refunded. Catholic Peers are dissatisfied at the new form of the King's declaration recommended by the Select Committee, because it attributes to them adoration of the Virgin Mary. Tho extreme High Church party also object to some of the language of the declaration. The Daily Express states that Mr Pierpont Morgan’s trust have purchased the Northern Pacific Steamship Company’s vessels to fight the Hamburg-American Line in the Oriental trade. Earl Bussell’s trial has been fixed for August 6th. Queen Alexandra received 750 Queen’s nurses at Marlborough House, and presented 200 badges and certificates. Tho King, Duchess of Argyle, Princess Victoria, and two of the Duke of Cornwall’s children were present.
