ROYAL VISIT—LIVING PICTURES.
Tin-' Academy of Music next Tuesday Wednesday, and' Thursday will be occupied bv Messrs Cooper and Macdermott-, who will exhibit their fine set of living pictures, showing tho lloyal visit y o the colonies. These pictures have just been shown in Wellington and Christchurch, and the Press, "of the 22nd ult.. says:—"The series of life-like pictures exhibited by Alessrs Cooper and Macdermott in the Theatre Royal gave those present a very excellent opportunity of seeing our Royal visitors even more plainly than they will doto-dav. The Royal embarkation on board the Ophir, and departure, the landing at St. Hilda pier, and the laying of the foundation-stone at Ballarat, are all reproduced with great fidelity. The pictures are sharp, and well lighted. In addition to the Royal visit pictures, there will be a very large number of new views, some of special interest to athletes, while the latest illusion and trick pictures are of a most amusing character. The machinery to be used upon this occasion is the Company's latest- improved, and lias everywhere been voted the best in New Zealand.
