AUCKLAND SPEGIAL.

(Special to Times.) Auckland, last night.

Mr Bunnie, of the Gisborne branch of the Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile, left by the Waikare for Hawke’s Bay this evening. Mr Bunnie, who is now his own self again after his lengthy indisposition by fever, will bo stationed in Hawke’s Bay.

Owing to the delay through rough weather the Waikare experienced in cross-

ing the Tasman Sea from. Sydney, she did not leave Auckland until six this evening. A number of Auckland racehorses to compete at Gisborne are aboard. Buchanan, the Gisborne rider, leaves here next Saturday for Gisborne to fulfil engagements at tho Park races.

Advance, with an impost of 9.13, is much fancied hero for the Now Zealand Cup. If fit and well Advance may probably journey to Sydney to fulfil engagements there instead of remaining hero for tho New Zealand Cup. Says tho evening Star : There is every probability that Mr A. T. Ngata, the gifted young Ngatiporou leader, will before long bo seen in Parliament. It is expected that at the first opportunity he will stand for tho Eastern Maori electorate. Mr Ngata left for 'Wellington yesterday, but will return to Auckland in about a month’s time. |This prediction was made by tho Times a fortnight ago.J
