(To the Editor of the Times.) Sie, —The figures given by Mr Lysnar in regard to bridges have lessened my opposition to any borrowing for such a purpose, and I think that when the time comes he will find that I will be prepared to take his view. But look at the subject on a broad basis, will others hold a like view ? A man with a comfortable home, but a limited income, part of which is being used to pay off encumbrances, has to closely consider every shilling.
