It is estimated that the damage is from two to three million dollars. A THOUSAND LIVES LOST. FOURTEEN TOWNS AND THIRTY VILLAGES DESTROYED. Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Now York, June 25. The Pocahontas dam destroyed fourteen small tow'ns, thirty villages, and three hundred miles of railway. The Governor of Virginia estimates that a thousand lives were lost.
