TROOPERS AND MR CARROLL. (Special to Ticks.) Wellington, last night. Tho mounted rides who are waiting transport are now housed in the railway "oods-sbed, and are more comfortable than over they have been. They leave for Christchurch to-night, their horses having been sent home. , Mr Carroll, who goes South by the same steamer, received a hearty reception bv the boys to-day. He will go on to l)unedin to bo present at the nnal leavetaking, at tho Puke’s request.
