Mr Justice Mathew has decided that the Peninsular andlOricntal Company is bound to provide Lascars the samo accommodation as other seamen. .. Mr Justice Mathew laid down that tho Merchant Shipping Act governed tho question, not tho India Act. Tho Poninsular Orient Company were, ho said, bound to provide crew space for Lascars in accordance with tho English Act. There was not oxolusivo legislation for Lascars.
