MEN COMMITTTED FOR TRIAL. [By Telegraph—Press Association.]' f Dunedin, last night. At the Police Court, Robert Malone, John McNab, and James Cooper were committed for trial on a charge of assault and robbery. A man named Long had come to town, and after spending a day with a man went to the Waverley Hotel, where they were refused drink. When Long left he was followed by accused, and while Cooper and Malone went through him, McN ab watched to see that no one was coming' Bail was allowed. Ernest David Hood since pleaded guilty to stealing goods from his employers, Messrs Herbert, Layncs, and Co., and was sentenced to the Supreme Court (or sentence.
