Mr Lysnar’s Sincerity.

(To tho Editor.) Sir, — From your report of tho meeting on Wednesday night I see that it was made to appear that I doubted Mr Lysnar s sincerity. I wish to explain that, this is quite erroneous, and is in no way implied by the letter. I am firmly convinced of Mr Lysnar’s sincerity; also his uprightness, integrity, and good intentions. What I objected to was that with his indomitable pluck he cau see through no other spectacles but his own. He appears to me to be one of tho most obstinate men that I have met. I gave soveral instances, tho latest of which is in regard*to the water supply, in which he sets himself in diroct opposition to an Engineer of the highest repute.—l am, etc., . Whataupoko.-
