Mr Popo’s defective eyesight prevented his inclusion in the first-namod corps. . , A Loudon correspondent writes: — Miss Celia Dampior, tlio New Zealand violinist, announced a concert in connection with Miss Margaret Harding. The concert was given in tho Steinway Hall, and was uudor tho patronage of Lady llanfurly, Lady Augusta Orr-Living, Lady Edmund Talbot, Lady BaAersea, and others.” It will bo remembered that Miss Dampier l' camo to Gisborne on the occasion when the Tasmania was wrecked.
