CHRISTCHURCH SPECIAL.
THE CADETS IN CAMP. (Special to Times.) Christchurch, last night. Three hundred and fifty West Coast cadets are quartered in tho Normal School. It is expected' that tho total number will bo 3000, with 28 officers in charge.
Mr Smith, Headmaster of Greymouth High School, is chief. There is no uniform. It is like FalstafTs ragged army. This is owing to tho short notico given. Returned Trooper Hannah is in charge of the cooking department, the cooking being done by gas. Tho bill-of-faro for the day is cold roast beef, mutton, bread, tea, and pickles. Straw is used for shake-downs in tho class-rooms,
