The Manawatu Times states: —It is estimated there will be a groat demand for cattle for Poverty Bay within a few weeks, and it is stated that the Hawke’s Bay and Wanganui districts are now being ransacked for supplies. In this connection the Hawke’s Bay Pleralcl makes a strong complaint against "the Department for not' 'providing for watering of cattle en route from Palmerston to Napier.
