The wife of the Rev. Langton Douglas, of Adelaide University, has obtained a decree for restitution of connubial rights. Respondent, after his appointment at Adelaide, refused to live with petitioner. Mr John Morley, speaking at Brechin last night, explained that half the income from Mr Carnegie's. gift to -the Scottish Universities would be expended in strengthening the faculties of science, medicine, history, modem languages, and literature, and the remainder of the income would be devoted to payment of ordinary class fees for students extending the lectureship of ovening classes outside the Universities.
