CLAIM WITHOUT GOLD,
PEOPLE WANT THEIR MONEY BACK.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Invercargill, last night. At a meeting of the Milestone Gold Company at Nokomai to confirm a resolution to place the dredge on another claim, or in the alternative to liquidate, it was resolved, on the motion of Mr H. Bastings, to adjourn till the first of July. In the meantime the Boring Committee is to get tho Milestone claim prospected by an independent party to verify or otherwise tho report of the last bores putdown by the directors, which was that there was absolutely no gold in the claim, and no bottom. The dredge has already turned over sixty-five thousand yards for about half an ounce, although the prospectus spoke of 2grs to the yard as almost a certainty.
