ROYALTY QUESTION.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, last night. Mr Justice Williams gave his decision to-day in the case in which W. Aitcheson claimed deficient royalty and damages against the Kaitangata Railway and Coal Company. The trial, which resulted in a decree for holding an inquiry for the taking of accounts, and the inquiry itself, extended over 23 days. In the judgment, which was very lengthy, His Honor gave judgment for plaintiff for 122,600, and allowed interest at the rate of 6 per cent, por annum from July 23rd, 1896.
