Forty Boers who wero attempting to cross tho lino to the westward, with a loaded waggon, wore captured. Viljoeu’s commando has crossod northwards, going to Ivhonostcrkop to tho Bush veldt, whoro food is plentiful.
BIG FIGHT REPORTED. SAID TO HAVE BEEN 61 BRITISH CASUALTIES. REPORT UNCONFIRMED. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright London, May 24. Ex-Presidont Pretorius, of Transvaal, is dead. It is reported at Dolngoa that thoro was a big fight on the 16th, near Barberton. It is further stated that there were 61 British casualties, and that tho Boors suffered heavily. The news is not yet confirmed. The Boers killed Private Archibald Woodoy, of the New Zealand Rough Riders, while attempting to escape.
