BURGLARY AT LYTTELTON.
SAFE BLOWN OPEN WITH DYNAMITE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, last night. The Canterbury Hotel at Lyttelton was burglariously entered last night, and about £4O was stolen. The money was placed in a locked safe in the front barroom. The safe was found this morning in a manure heap on a vacant section behind a neighboring hotel, It had been carried there, buried under the manure to deaden the sound, and burst open with dynamite. The matter is in the hands of the police.
