VICTORIA DAY.
THE KING’S COMMAND. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, May 19. The fact of the Court being in mourning precludes the observance -of the §4th inst.' as the King’s Birthday, s but, lest Civil servants should be deprived of tho holiday, the King has ordered the day to be observed- quietly in memory of his mother. : There are indications that some of the functions associated with the Sovereign’s birthday have been fixed ultimately for a day in’the’ summer, -probably tho anniversary of tho Coronation. ‘ ’ '' *•*•*
