Boors, with a 12-poundor crouzoto, two pom-pom-!, and a Maxim, thrice attacked Colonol Bullock between Ermclo and Amersfoorst. A desperate effort made to capture tho guns failed. Louis Botha has evacuated Ermelo, and retreated to Carolina.
Colonel Bullock removed forty prisoners, including Commandant Swary and 150 Ermelo rofugeo families, 2000 cattle and horses, to Standorton. The Ennelo Boors re-oeeupied Ermelo when Bullock loft.
