Teachers’ Salaries.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Dunedin, last night.
At the Teachers’ Salaries Commission evidence was given by the representative of the- female assistant teachers, advocating a -minimum salary of £IOO, and by the representative of-the male assistants, a momber of the institute, advocating £llO as a minimum for males. The representative of male teachers outside the institute thought the minimum for males should be £l2O. Evidence was also given by Mr H. Harroway, Chairman of (if -Otago Board, and Mr W.'S. Fitzgerald) Inspector.
