The Times states that tho Canadian Parliament has decided that tho Pacific Cable Bill shall await Lord Minto’s pro clamation before it becomes operative. The Canadian law officer has reported that the action of New South Wales in giving tlic Eastern Extension Cable Company all its business is detrimental to Canada.

The Imperial law officers dissented from this view. Sir Wilfrid Lauricr decided to await the ending of the correspondence no\y proceeding on the subject.
