WAIKARE’S ROUGH TRIP.

A DELAYED FUNERAL,

Special to Times.) Auckland, last night. " The steamer Waikare experienced very rough weather from Gisborne, the trip taking 28 hours. Owing to the lateness of the Waikare’s arrival the funeral of the late Mrs O’Dowd was delayed to enable Miss Ryan, of Gisborne, who was a passenger by the Waikare, to get a last glimpse of her sister. Mrs O’Dowd had only been married five weeks, and was well-known in the South.
