Dairy Produce and Meat.

A return issued by the Department of Agriculture shows the exports of dairy produce and meat during April to have been as follows :—Butter, 14,823 cwt, value 463,958 : cheese, 9,525 cwt, 421,295 ; frozen beef, 17,519 cwt, 419.107; mutton, 7q,77ocwf, 486,56-1; mutton,' logs and pieces, 4357 cwt, 44765 ; lamb, 96,346 cwt, 4150,893.
Butter and lamb both show an increase on the exports for April, 1900. The total value of the exports named for April is 4346,582, and for April, 1900, £809,876,
