THE JURY’S VERDICT.

Sydnoy, May 6. Iho inquest on Darnley, one of the victims of the Sydenham railway accident on February 15th,' was resumed. Doyle, driver of the derailod ongine, has recovered sufficiently to attend. His evidence threw no light on the cause. Ho considered the engine and line wore both in good order. He was driving at the usual speed, and could assign no reason for the disaster. The jury found that Darnley had died from injuries accidentally received by the derailment of u train, caused by the high rate of speed aud the defective characteristics of the engine, but whether the condition of tho road added to the derailment there was not evidcuco to show. They added a rider recommending that the il T ” class of engine be not used for passenger service, excepting on slow trains, and be removed from tho service as soon as practicable.
