ATTEMPTED MURDER.
TRIAL OF GEORGE SHANNON. (By Telegraph—Pre-'s Association. - Wn~ j.umi, last night. At the Magistral s Court to-day the case against Georg Jhannon, alias Shanahan, for attempted murder of Mrs Petors on the 24th of lr. :-t month, was heard. The evidence for the prosecution occupied all day, and was of a strong circumstantial nature.
Accused was not represented by counsel. He reserved his defence, and was committed for trial at the next sitting of the Supreme Court.
