LABOR TROUBLES.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Christchurch, last night. When the Arbitration Court resumed this morning, Mr Frostick, President of the Federated Boot Manufacturers’ Asso-' ciation, stated that the employers had made good progress in regard to the points which they had considered privately the previous day. He handed in a statement which he said would cover all matters the Court would now be called on to J -ol with. Justice Cooper decided to adjourn the C'j::!' tUI the morning, in qr,der to give the employers ® on ' sider points still in dispute. The Union delegate asked His Hoi).-,r if he would meet the parties priyalGv,* grid assist them to form rules. His Honor replied that lie would be very glad to do so. The main points at issue now are the hours per week and the minimum weekly wage. His Honor said if the parties come to mutual agreement without intervention of the Court except ou some vital point it would be much more satisfactory than" by lhcans of an award.
