Cycling Notes.

After a lapse of three years all Australian track records from five miles to one hour have been lowered by the American cyclist, W. Martin. The new records were established on the Adelaide Oval recently, “ Plugger Bill ” being paced by a Yankee motor tandem. Five miles were covered fn eight minutes fifty-seven and one-fifth secs., as against T. Belph’s nine mins, eight and two-fifths secs,, multicycle paced record. Ten miles in seventeen, mins, fifty-nine and three-fifths secs., and thirtyone miles fourteen hundred and twentyfive yards in the hour. T.
