ARCHDEACON DUDLEY’S SUCCESSOR.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Auckland, last night. The Rev. Canon' W. Calder has 1 been appointed Archdeacon of the" Auckland Anglican diocese, in the place of the late Archdeaeon Dudley. Canon Calder is one of the most popular men in the diocese, and his appointment will give great satisfaction. He came to Auckland in 1875 from Honolulu, aud has had wide experience in this diocese. In 1888 ho was appointed vicar of AlLEaints’, Ponsonby, and has labored there ever since. The Synod elected him as one of the .first canons of the Cathedral in 1893.
