The mime of this firm is now becoming quite a household word throughout the Colony, and the splendid furniture, with other goods, they arc continually manufacturing, importing, and disposing of to their numerous customers, lias built up an enormous business. Most visitors to Wellington will, no doubt, have noticed this firm's large handsome brick and stone warehouse (which is four storeys high) on Lambton Quay, nearly opposite the Government Buildings. They have erected a large factory behind the’ main building, where a great deal of useful and artistic work is carried on. Here they turn out some of the most neat and choice designs anyone can imagine or conceive in woodwork, embracing furniture of all kinds, and it speaks well for the firm that they can construct such a variety of article's with such conspicuous taste! hut, at the same time, combining beauty with durability. No one can believe what is really going on in tin's large establishment, unless they visit it, and sec for themselves what beautiful furniture is constructed out of red pine, mottled kauri, and bird’seye maple, while the upholstering work is of all colors, including morocco, buffalo and maroon. Their reputation as manufacturers is now so well known that it is a guarantco that the material and workmanship will be of the best quality. We commend our readers to a perusal of the firm’s advertisement over the leader.
