The Federal Commission.

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Brisbane, April 22.

The New Zealand Federal Commission arrived on Saturday night. It is stated that the Commission wish to make special inquiries into the sugar and colored labor questions. It is hoped to visit some sugar plantations, but it is feared they will hardly have time, as they leave Brisbane on Thursday. They begin taking evidence this morning. The Commissioners were much struck with the agricultural resources of the Darling Downs. Good rains are falling in many parts of the colony, but especially heavy at Bundaberg.
