EXPORT OF POULTRY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. The poultry export states that an order recently received for poultry for export to South Africa could not be fulfilled. Ho says that the demand for birds from the Momohaki farm is greater than the supply. Over a thousand fowls aud ducks have been ordered this season. DREDGING. * The Four River Plains dredge obtained lOoz 9dwt for 118 hours. PETONE’S PROGRESS. A poll of ratepayers of Pctone authorised the Council to borrow £23,500 for a water supply, £7009 for streets and footpaths formation, £2,500 for drainage extension, aud £2OOO for gasworks extension.
