A CITY LOAN.

[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, last night. A meeting of ratepayers was hold tonight for the purpose of considering the City Council’s loan proposal. It was agreed that a poll should bo taken on the proposed loans, which are at follows ; £225,000 for tho construction of an electric tramway, and the extension of the system to Island Bay ; £55,000 for street improve rnents, and £50,000 for the erection of a town hall and’municipal offices.
